The inspiration behind the OMO Modern 20 was to provide memory foam comfort in furniture. The unique manufacturing process overlays the upper surface of the furniture with a layer of memory foam, offering comfort and benefits similar to a memory foam mattress. The result is a restful, modern, and fresh modular sofa that is sure to be a conversation starter.
What sets the OMO Modern 20 apart from other furniture pieces is its patented manufacturing method and innovative design. Instead of using a heavy wood or steel frame with added layers of upholstery, the design team used foam molds to form a solid core of rigid foam. This method generates curves and unparalleled comfort from the complete polyurethane foam structure, making it simpler and less costly than conventional furniture manufacturing.
The OMO Modern 20 is not just about comfort; it also boasts impressive technical specifications. The armchair measures 965 x 940 x 711, and the middle chair measures 711 x 940 x 711. The upholstery fabric used is a stain repellent Twill that complements the conforming nature of the memory foam.
The design process was not without its challenges. As a memory foam mattress manufacturer, bringing the innovative furniture designs to life was the team's greatest challenge. The production issues for working with a new product led them to develop a patented manufacturing method. The result is a piece of furniture that shapes itself to match the contours of your body, delivering even pressure to all parts and providing just the right support.
The OMO Modern 20 is a testament to the power of innovation and design. It started as a project in the summer of 2013 and saw its first production date in March 2015. The design was awarded the Golden A' Furniture Design Award in 2016, a prestigious accolade granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. The award recognizes products and ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
